To adjust each channel to its own peak volume, click the downward-pointing arrow in the Track Control Panel to open the Audio Track Dropdown Menu then choose "Split StereoTrack". This usually happens because of the content.For example, one channel may have more deep bass sounds which are naturally louder, or one channel may be mostly quiet but have one loud peak.
